2/16 My Dream Business

My dream business would definitely be a duct tape hardware shop. It would actually be a service where I would personally come to the customers' house and fix anything that needs a fixin'. I specialize in doorknobs of course. In fact, I have fixed one before at my pizza shop. The advertising would not leave this detail out because it will be our main hook to get the money rollin' in.

2/9/17 Current Event

The Talking Speaker

While everybody loves their speakers, they are evolving and being used for way more than listening to your playlist. The biggest hit of the variety of brands of speakers is Alexa made by Echo. This speaker plays your music with high quality, but that is the bare minimum of its capability. You can ask Alexa to play any song for example and it with surf the internet and find that song for you. Or lets say you have a question that needs to be looked up, all you have to do is say" Hey Alexa ..." and she will pull up the top responses on google. While along with these new features a unheard of one has come to play, now you can even ask Alexa to call and order food for you with he right model and settings programed into it. Its also very efficient wired with microphones around all the speakers covering 100% of the outside cylinder. This incredible piece of  technology will only cost you from 150-175 dollars on amazon. Which to me that is a good price on this piece of high end technology.

2/6/17 Project collaboration

I feel that this project was a very good learning tool. The reason I say this is because in the real world you wont always be working with people in the same building. You could be working with someone halfway across the world, so this was a good way to show us how to do this. This presentation taught us to take full advantage of the resources we have at our disposal. This showed us you can get the same product with out interacting with someone in person.

Social Book Marking 1-24-17

Social book marking can be used for a variety of reasons. The most common use of this is to star pages you frequently go to so all you have to do is click the tab and go directly there. But another common use for this is to use it when doing a project, and or doing research. The reason for this is so you have easy access to these websites, making it easier for use, while also faster. So these are two of the many good reasons to be using bookmarking in everyday life.

 That while u might be with people, if ur attention is on your phone you're basically alone.

     Versus talking each other they will text them

 It doesn't work for connecting with each other.    

6. What concern is raised with kids who would rather “Text than Talk”?

People are getting to the point where they dont know how to have a real conversation      

7. What impact does the feeling that “No one is listening” have on people?

It distances people away from each other, because they dont have the same social skills.      

8. Why are people tempted by machines that offer companionship?

They think no one will listen to them.     

9. Why are people expecting more from Technology and less from each other?

 Because with all of the new things technology can do and be used for, people get so dependent on it and start to lose social skills.     

10. What is the illusion of companionship without the demands of friendship?

   It something people long for so if they can't find it right away in person, they will find it else where.

We can put our attention wherever you want

We can always be heared

12. Being alone feels like a problem that needs to be solved, the Talk mentions the concept of “I share therefore I am”.  Explain what the following perceptions mean:

• I have a feeling → I want to make a call (past)

 You expirence it and want to share it    

• I want to have a feeling → I need to send a text (current)

 You have to share something and dont know how to say it    

13. How does “connection → isolation” happen according to the Talk?

 people lose social skills    

14. According to the Talk, “solitude is where you find yourself before you reach out to know someone else”.  What do they/you see as the power of this statement?

  You have to know yourself and be confident, and open about it before you can share it with someone   

15. How would you explain the following statement from the Talk, “If we don’t teach our children to be alone, they will only know how to be lonely”.

 If they don't have social skills they will never have relationships and be lonely    

16. How do we make our actual/real life, the life we love?

  Don't be locked down by technology, find what u like and do it
